Ukrainian consulates for Puerto Rico
Puerto Rico is in the consular district of the Embassy in Washington, as the Embassy’s booking pages say. A visit to the consular section in Georgetown means flying to the mainland.
Checked against the official pages on 22 October 2026. How we check.
Which Ukrainian consulate serves Puerto Rico?
Puerto Rico is on the district list that the Embassy’s consular section in Washington publishes on its own pages (source, in Ukrainian), so that is the office for Puerto Rico.
Cities in Puerto Rico and their Ukrainian office
The places this site lists in Puerto Rico have no road link to their Ukrainian office: an in-person visit means flying.
Birth and marriage records in Puerto Rico for a Ukrainian office
In Puerto Rico, the CDC’s directory sends birth certificate requests to the Demographic Registry of the Department of Health, in San Juan, at P.O. Box 11854, San Juan, PR 00910, 5 Mayaguez Street, 9th Floor, Hato Rey, PR 00918 (CDC, Where to Write for Vital Records).
Its note on those records reads: “The Central Office of the Demographic Registry has records relating to all citizens born as of April 22, 1931”.
For a marriage registered in Puerto Rico, the directory says: “The Central Office of the Demographic Registry has records relating to all citizens married as of April 22, 1931” (CDC, Where to Write for Vital Records).
A Ukrainian office takes a U.S. birth certificate with an apostille and a notarized Ukrainian translation that carries its own apostille, put on after the certificate’s and not on the same day (source, in Ukrainian).
The apostille on a document from Puerto Rico comes from the Puerto Rico Department of State (HCCH list), and a Ukrainian office asks for it on the U.S. papers it takes (source, in Ukrainian).
