Before you plan the journey

Three of the most searched Philippine procedures in the United States are not consular procedures at all, and knowing that is worth more than knowing the opening hours:

The short version: PSA certificates are ordered online from Manila, apostilles on documents issued in Guam come from the state's own competent authority, since 15 May 2019 the consulate cannot authenticate them, and the NBI clearance travels by mail; its fingerprints can be taken at a consulate or at a police station, according to the NBI.

Two things are worth the journey because they cannot be done any other way: passport biometrics and the oath. For a special power of attorney there is a second route, a local notary and an apostille, according to the notarial page of the Chicago consulate.

This consulate's district also covers Palau, the Federated States of Micronesia and the Marshall Islands, which are independent countries, according to the Consulate Finder.

philippineconsulates.us is an independent information guide to the Philippine consulates in the United States. We are not the Philippine Consulate General, the Philippine Embassy or any government agency. We do not book, sell or manage appointments: every consulate runs its own system. We check the details regularly, but they can change without notice, always confirm with the consulate before you travel.
